Introduction to Bassń Stars

Hello to everyone and welcome to Bassń Stars of Oakland County. This information was compiled for all of our current members, new and old, as well as prospective members so that everyone can understand how our club runs. Every effort was made to include everything a new member will need to understand exactly how we do things during the tournament season.    Our Club is affiliated with the National Bass Federation Nation and the Michigan Chapter of B.A.S.S. You must belong to National BASS and Michigan B.A.S.S. (MBCF) to participate in this club. We have members who are Boaters as well as non-boaters. Non-boaters are paired up with boaters for tournaments.
The club is sponsored in part by several sponsors. They provide various programs and varying programs for prizes for our tournaments. G Loomis Rods, Minn Kota and Lowrance also provide discount incentive programs for our members.
During the year, we have several Tournaments, it varies from year to year exactly how many we do.  Members are paired up with different partners for each Tournament, usually by random draw but some are "Pick your Partner" type pairings, where you can actually choose who you fish with.  The Tournaments are held on local lakes as well as lakes around the state. The Tournament Director and his committee sit down and choose the lakes before the season starts. At the end of the season, we have a "Classic" Tournament, which the top ten anglers compete.
We also get together each January for an Awards and Dinner Banquet. At that banquet, we give out trophies and other awards to club members. Our club members are encouraged to participate in public relations events to help promote Bass fishing in general.  If you want to look over our club Bylaws, CLICK HERE.  If you want to see tour Tournament rules, CLICK HERE. This Web Site also contains a current Newsletter, if you want to check out what's been happening with Bassń Stars, CLICK HERE.  There is a place to check out past meetings on the "Meeting Notes Page".

We want to encourage everyone to participate in all of our meetings, tournaments and other events through out the season. We are always looking for new members.  If you are considering joining a Bass Fishing Club, we encourage you to fill out an application and we will have someone contact you with more information.  We want everyone to have a very safe and enjoyable fishing season.
